What’s On-Site with the World’s Seafood Producers™?

On-Site with the World’s Seafood Producers™ is my signature content framework designed to bring radical transparency to the seafood industry. By pulling back the curtain on global fisheries and culture, this initiative aims to show people exactly how their seafood is produced while highlighting the faces of those who make it possible.

When I started creating content about seafood online in 2020, I quickly realized that people were very interested in learning more about where their fish came from. After two years of creating content from home throughout the pandemic, I felt like something was missing. I was searching for a way to elevate my seafood content and show people the industry in a way they had never seen before. I had been answering the same questions over and over again about gear types, fish farms, and other industry specifics. While my videos were certainly making an impact and changing minds, I wanted to do something bigger.

I thought, what if I could just show people the answers they’re looking for? Rather than explaining what gear types and fish farms look like, what if I actually brought my audience out onto the water with me to see it with their own eyes?

Radical transparency.

I couldn’t just tell people about the seafood industry—I had to show them. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what’s a video worth?

So, I created a first-of-its-kind opportunity for seafood producers to tell their story directly to the people enjoying their catch: On-Site with the World’s Seafood Producers™. This unique, behind-the-scenes look at the seafood industry completely pulls back the curtain and brings consumers into our world. I’ve told stories of northern fish farmers harvesting trout through a frozen lake, farmers in New Zealand producing premium king salmon in the Marlborough Sounds, and many more.

My goal is to bring a new level of transparency to the notoriously opaque seafood industry by sharing the world’s seafood stories through radical transparency and authentic storytelling. Over the last decade, I have amassed a following of over 50,000 and, more importantly, I have been able to create bridges between the seafood industry and other sectors, such as travel, tourism, hospitality, and education.

By collaborating with visionary leaders in sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, we aim to ignite knowledge sharing, storytelling, and a profound appreciation for seafood. My ultimate goal is to connect people through seafood, contributing to a healthier future for our oceans and communities.
